Wellfleet Cape Cod is a quaint town on Outer Cape situated between Cape Cod Bay and the National Seashore beaches. Wellfleet has gorgeous beaches, a nice village area with great restaurants and shops and a wonderful harbor / marina area. Wellfleet even has a drive-in movie theater. What a good ole summer activity to enjoy!
When visiting Wellfleet you can stay at a vacation rental home. These are privately owned homes that you can rent by the week in July and August and sometimes for a long weekend in the off season. There are little cottages that line the bay by Mayo Beach just a short walk from Wellfleet Harbor. At the Harbor area there are restaurants, a nice playground, tennis courts, skate park, basketball courts, fields and the beach all in one. Take a short and nice drive a couple of miles to the other side of Wellfleet and enjoy some of the most stunning ocean beaches with high dunes. The Beachcomber restaurant and bar is situated right on one of these dunes overlooking the ocean. The Beachcomber is a low key beachy atmosphere that often has live music, local fare and a location that can’t be beat.
When vacationing in Wellfleet there are a few things to know before visiting. One major thing is about parking at the beaches. Unless you are a property owner you will need to purchase a Wellfleet beach parking sticker / pass from the town.

The next thing you need to know is where the beaches are. You can find a list of Wellfleet beaches and their map address by going to: Wellfleet Beaches.
You can often see seals and surfers at the gorgeous Wellfleet Ocean Beaches of Lecount Hollow, White Crest, Cahoon Hollow, Newcomb Hollow Beach.
In addition to great beaches and a nice quaint village area and harbor Wellfleet is home to the Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
A great place to visit in spring and fall for the bird migrations, and summer is enjoyable, as well. There are several naturalists at strategic points to point out the flora and fauna. The museum is very interesting, and there is a small bookstore/gift shop.
