Located at the most southeastern tip of Cape Cod, Chatham dips its toes right into the Atlantic Ocean, with no shortage of sand, sun and sights!

In no particular order, here are some of the beaches you’ll enjoy in Chatham:

If you’d rather be ON the water instead of IN it, rent a sailboat or powerboat (with or without a captain) and set out for a day on the high seas. Chartered Deep sea fishing and whale/ seal /dolphin watches are a favorite among tourists and locals alike. To really experience Chatham and the Cape Cod waters, give this local business a call and book your time on the water now! There are a variety of water activities to choose from, but they go the extra mile and offer customized trips, as well.

Since everyday can’t be a beach day, there are some indoor activities to keep busy, as well.  Here’s our rainy day list of things to do:
~The Chatham Railroad Museum is a former Railroad Station that has been beautifully restored from its 1887 inception. There are hundreds of exhibits and even a 1910 restored wood caboose to explore.

~The Chatham Shark Center is filled with displays and activities to educate people about this Cape Cod-native creature.

~Chatham has a rich history that is proudly displayed at a number of historical sites and attractions.

~Monomoy Theatre – With productions such as Little Shop of Horrors and Guys & Dolls, this quaint local theatre will not disappoint!

~Shopping! – There’s no shortage of cool and unique places to shop in Chatham. From candy stores, antique shops to a whole store dedicated to rubber ducks, your souvenir shopping will consist of more than a Cape Cod T-shirt!

Chatham is about as quintessential “Cape Cod” as it gets. It has a small town feel, yet offers all the amenities and perks a tourist would expect.  Beaches, lighthouses, museums and shops will easily fill up a week’s stay. Pair that with eateries for every palate and budget, and all the main boxes of your vacation must-haves are easily checked off.
